The Government of Saskatchewan is preparing to deliver $400 million in federal funding to remediate 8,000 oil wells in the province through the Advanced Site Closure Program (ASCP). On June 9, 2020, at 1:30 to 3:00 pm we would like to invite you to attend a Town Hall being hosted in partnership with SIMSA to learn more about the program and ask any questions you may have.
SaskBuilds has worked with the Ministry of Energy and Resources and the Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) to develop a funding and service delivery process that properly engages Saskatchewan Oil Field Service (OFS) companies, oil and environmental workers, and service contractors.
On June 2 and 3, 2020 the government will meet with lead contractors and consultants to explain the program, processes, and expectations in detail. One of the expectations of these lead companies will be to engage with other Saskatchewan service providers such as yourself.
The June 9, 2020, Town Hall will engage companies that provide specific skilled-trade, technical, or peripheral services related to oil sites to OFS and environmental consulting companies or directly to oil producers themselves. Attendees will be provided with a list of all pre-qualified Saskatchewan lead OFS contractors including contact information. They will also have the opportunity to ask questions of Energy and Resources, SRC, and SaskBuilds during the call.
