It is a two day virtual event - see agenda below.
Join Barrick Gold, the Canada-Mali Chamber of Commerce, SIMSA, and the MSTA to learn about the multi-billion dollar opportunity that is the West African Mining Industry! Look to “Needs of the West African Mining Industry” section below see if your products and services are in need.
SIMSA has been approached to help foster partner development between the experienced Saskatchewan mining supply chain and those in the Republic of Malia, Burkina Fasso, and Guinea. The goal is to provide improved products and services to the West African Mining industry.
There is a full list of potential West African partner companies HERE as there are policies in West Africa that mandate localization spend. Due to these policies, it can be beneficial to work through local partnerships. Please see the attached for the summaries of the companies looking for partnerships in West Africa. These companies are looking to work with Canadian companies in order to expand their ability to meet the localization demand and improve the quality of their goods and services.
SIMSA will facilitate B2B meetings on day 2 (February 2nd) of the event, between 8:50 AM and 11:45 AM. Please note that while French language is considered an asset, translation services will be provided by the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service.
Please contact the James Bulmer (james.bulmer@simsa.ca) if you would like to arrange a meeting on February 2nd, or day 2 of the event.
